THEY HAVE HER NOW!

Ive told this story 100 times and I still havent gotten anywhere. Hopefully I will find the words to make this time different. Its long but I think it will be worth the 10 minutes it takes to read. A childs life may depend on it. My name is Scott. I was a single parent of a wonderful little girl for 6 years. Her name is Myranda. Her mother abandoned her after she was born. While I was caring for Myranda, her mother Tonia, involved herself in some very unethical acts. To put it bluntly she helped a man that she knew to be a convicted pedofile obtain more little girls. Theres actually several newspaper storys about her on the web. You can visit them to see for yourself. I will give the link at the end of this story. This man she helped, got these young girls by attending skating rinks. He was in his late 30's when Tonia met him and he had a 13 year old live in girlfriend. Several years later when this girlfriend of his got older, she left. She told some people about the things that went on at his home. Which included parties with nothing but children doing drugs, drinking and having sex. The police started an investigation. Mark and Tonia left the state and moved to Salisbury, NC where Tonia got a job at the local skating rink. The investigation in DE continued and one of there roommates was arrested and convicted of third-degree sexualt assault on a minor. Her name was Kelly Shade. She's now a registered sex offender in DE for having sex with a child under 16. Tonia was 25 and Mark was 42. Since Tonia worked at the skating rink she got to skate for free. She told the management that Mark was her brother so he got in free too. They befriended several young girls ranging in age from 12-15. Then they got them to come to there home where they supplied them with drugs and alcohol. So now Mark had his personal playground again. He then started inviting other men over to play too. Just like he used to do in DE. Fortunately these girls told there parents what was going on before they got too involved. Tonia was arrested for several counts of taking indecent liberties with a minor and for giving them alcohol and drugs. She was in several nude-half nude pictures with these children. Mark was arrested for kid napping, taking indecent liberties with minors and several other charges. Since they needed Tonias testimony to help convict Mark they gave her a plea bargain. She ended up doing about 4 months in jail and then got probation. They needed her testimony because she was the one that really knew what he was wanting to do with these young girls. After her trial she moved back to DE. This is where the story gets worse. She moved in with a man named Tom. Tom was an old friend of Marks. He used to come over to play with the kids at Marks home too. Mark met Tom at the skating rink in DE. I assume they shared some common interests. Tom actually had to testify in court against Mark because Tom had video taped Mark raping a 14 year old girl in a motel. They werent charged because the girl was not willing to press charges. She's in her early 20's now. This video tape ended up in court in NC. For some reason they named this tape FART. I met Tom once when he had to testify in court. I attended the proceedings so I could see what Tonia had done. For some reason he talked to me. He spoke of parties at Marks and then he told me something that was very disturbing. He told me that he had joint custody of his two nieces. One 7 one 10. He told me that the 10 year old was at his house one day and took a bath. For some reason he went into the bathroom while she was in there. He said she got very upset for him coming in. He said that he was surprised to see that this 10 year old was starting to grow pubic hair. He went on and on about this miraculous pubic hair. He didnt really seem surprised, more like excited. He said this in front of Tonia. So anyway Tonia moves in with Tom. He has a good job, a nice place, money. So he decides that he wants a little girl of his own. Well kinda his own. He decides he wants my daughter Myranda. Now they knew that they couldnt just take me to court. They would never win. So they used other tactics. This is a real long part of the story. It takes quite a while to explain. I will give you the short version, although the whole story is very significant. When Tonia and Tom decided to take me to court I was suffering from moderate depression. The depression was due to the loss of my parents. This in itself was hard to deal with but especially so since they had committed suicide. I will never deny being depressed. Who wouldn't have been. However I was still able to run my business and care for Myranda in the proper way. Before they took me to court for custody, Tonia and Tom contacted the local DSS office and told them that I was neglecting Myranda. Which was never proved, but how would Tonia know if she was? Myranda never even got a birthday card, the only time they spoke on the phone is when Myranda asked me to call her. Anyway DSS got involved. I don't know if you've ever had involvment with DSS, if you have you know. If you havn't then I'll tell you. They use tactics that are discusting. I found a web site written by a lawyer. He has a list of these tactics. I really wish I had of seen that first. They used every single one against me. It's very disturbing to say the least. I will give you the link to that site also. When Tonia called DSS and they visited Myranda and I, they found no evidence of abuse or neglect , they had nothing except Tonia saying blah blah blah. However Myranda was taken that day. I was given a day in court a week later. Tonia was there at court saying she wanted Myranda. I brought papers about Tonias past involvement with children. Here's one of the examples of the tactics DSS used against me. I told DSS that I was bringing proof of what Tonia had done to children. When I arrived they asked if they could make copies of it. Of course I agreed. Unfortunately I didn't see that lady again until after court. That's when she gave me the papers back. After I showed the judge proof that I could more than care for Myranda, I went to try to tell him about Tonia. I was interrupted by DSS, they said Tonia was on probation and that anything else was inadmissable or whatever. They said that Tonia claimed that she always wanted Myranda but that I wouldnt let her. They said that since I wasn't in agreement with Tonia obtaining visitation or custody that I was a flight risk. So they kept Myranda until Tonia could have a chance to get custody. I was told to have a phsycholical evaluation and so was Tonia. I was given a number to the place that did the evaluation for DSS. We were given another court date in one month. I called the number and they took all my information. The next day they called me back and told me that they would set up the evaluation in 2 months and not before. I called DSS and told them what they said. They told me that I had to have it done before court. It took a week and a half but they gave me a different number to call. I called that number they said that they didnt do evaluations for DSS anymore. I told DSS. They said they would look into it. Meanwhile somehow Tonia got hers done a week after court. They gave her a number to a place that only does it for mothers. Its called Brandywine Counseling. I told them that wasnt fair. How can they give Tonia a place to go have it done but give me the run around. The court date came and I still didnt have it done. I lost custody of Myranda because of it. I guess I was mistaking. I guess Tonia and Tom didnt do all those things to kids. Or well I guess it didnt matter. I became very depressed. I knew Myranda was in danger. However every step I took to get Myranda I was blocked by DSS. At first I didnt think I needed a lawyer. I mean Tonia was convicted of crimes against children. She helped a convicted pedofile obtain more children. Now she lives with Tom. Which was best friends with this pedofile and partied with these kids too. NOW THEY HAVE MYRANDA?! I lost it. I couldnt do anything but cry day in day out. The more I talked about this to DSS the worse it got. I was no longer able to see or talk to Myranda. I can only imagine what they tell her and do with her. I fell into such a dark depression that I now receive SSI. I went places in my mind that are indescribable. I did get that evaluation done. They say I suffer from moderate depression. I take 1 pill a day. I feel a lot better now. I started working again. Going to work and being nice to the customers really helps me. Being nice to everyone inspired me to do something good for the community. I have started a non-profit business called NEWDAY. It stands for National Educational and Wholesomeness Development of American Youth. Its still very small. But it wont take long. Especially with this new focus I have. For the life of me I cant imagine or comprehend giving Myranda to them. All I know is that Myranda is in trouble. Someone has to help. Let me ask you, if you had a choice between a parent that cries sometimes about missing his parents or the crap Tonia did which would you choose? Maybe neither, I don't know. They have free legal aid here in DE. However they wont help with custody issues. They have free legal help for people that are on SSI that do help with custody issues, but they wont help if its a mental thing. I'm on SSI because of the depression that resulted from loosing custody of Myranda and the loss of my parents. So here I sit. I cant afford the thousands a lawyer wants. I havent been able to find pro bono. Myranda will be 9 on May 11, 2004. All I can think about is the look on Toms face when he was telling me about his 10 year old nieces pubescent body. If that man even.....anyway. I know this is a long story. Well here are the links to the sites I spoke of at the beginning of the letter. I will also include my contact information. The man she helped get the little girls, his name is Mark Patterson. Her full name was Tonia Anderson at the time. I will never claim to being perfect. Im far from it. But I love her so much it hurts to breathe knowing she's with them. I have taken steps to bettering myself including counseling at Connections here in Smyrna, DE. I go to church and live a healthier life. Ive learned a lot of lessons. I just wish that Myranda didnt have to pay for my mistakes to the extent that she is. It's very unfortunate. You may ask yourself "what can I do"? Well there is something that you can do. I've written a book about all this. Details I couldn't possibly put here about Tonia, Tom and DSS. There's even a twist I didn't talk about. Tonia's mother Trudy adopted a young boy when he was 15. Tonia's boyfriend. She sexually, physically and mentally abused him and his 14 year old friend. Yes DSS was told this and it was admitted to them. I know all this because it was me. Trudy now lives with Myranda too. It's about 200 pages long. It's a must read. Every single penny made will be used to try to get Myranda away from these people. Then maybe there will be a Part 2:^) Just email me if you're interested in the book or just to offer a kind word.
